A noble leader, ruling from her perch
She’d never leave us in a lurch.
So on this month, we pay homage to Kinney

For this month, in her honor, I’ll remain naked.
We thank you for your unending service, solidarity, humor, and leadership.
We are honored to even be on the same newspaper as your poopies and squirties.

Six score and one month ago (and a handful of days),
Prezident Kinney brought forth upon this planet a new nation (that would be Forpus Land): conceived in gluttony and dedicated to the proposition
that parrotlets and hoomans are not created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great global struggle.....testing whether our nation,
a nation so conceived and so dedicated....can wrest control and long endure.
We are met on a great battlefield of that struggle.
We have come to dedicate this month to Prezident Kinney,
as a milestone for those who follow her that our nation might live.
It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate...we cannot pay tribute...
we cannot honor Prezident Kinney enough.
The brave Commandos, with us now and in the past,
who struggle in our quest, have paid tribute far above
our poor power to add or detract.
The world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here,
but it can never forget what Prezident Kinney will lead us to do!
It is for us in the present, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work
which we have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us...
that from our honored Prezident we take increased devotion to our cause for which all Commandos give full measure of devotion...
that we here highly resolve that Commandos shall not struggle in vain...
that this nation, under Prezident Kinney, shall have a new birth of Commando control...and that government of the Commandos...
by the Commandos...
for the Commandos...
shall ultimately rule the earth.
